Makenna Myler and her 7-month-old daughter Kenny Lou join DyeStat editor Doug Binder from Highland, Utah to discuss Makenna's remarkable journey to a U.S. Olympic Trials berth in the 10,000 meters. Myler ran 32:03.62 to get achieve the qualifying standard (32:25) and break her own 10,000-meter track PR by almost three minutes. The former BYU runner charts her journey from Tracubo Hills High in California to BYU and into post-collegiate running, where her driven personality keeps her on task to meet her goals. Her 2020 pregnancy didn't slow her down, as a viral video showed her running 5:25 for a mile at nine months pregnant, just two weeks before giving birth. |
